The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and successfully delivering projects within the agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. The role requires close collaboration with clients, internal stakeholders, development teams, quality assurance teams, and business units to ensure project objectives are achieved while managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
Lead project execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Manage project changes through established change management processes.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
Conduct regular project status meetings and steering committee meetings.
Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Team Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and UX/UI Designers.
Assign tasks and monitor team performance.
Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts within project teams.
Coach and mentor team members to improve performance.
Risk & Issue Management
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively manage project issues and escalations.
Track project dependencies and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain risk and issue registers.
Budget & Resource Management
Prepare and manage project budgets.
Monitor project costs and resource utilization.
Forecast project financial performance.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency.
Quality Management
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Support implementation of quality assurance processes.
Monitor project KPIs and performance metrics.
Conduct project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
Agile & Delivery Management
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Track sprint progress using project management tools.
Remove impediments affecting project delivery.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain project documentation including:
Project Charter
Project Plan
RAID Log
Status Reports
Meeting Minutes
Change Requests
Resource Plans
Closure Reports
Provide accurate project reports to senior management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or equivalent is an advantage.
5–8 years of experience in IT project management or software delivery.
Experience managing end-to-end software development projects.
